Take a step into Westport, and you might think it's Fashion Week.
“Tonight is Varsity Vogue Fashion and it’s raising money for our cheer fund," said cheereleader Emma Mikesh.
The Staples High School Cheerleaders are struting down the runway in the hopes to raise around 20-thousand dollars.
“If we want to give our girls transporation-coaches-tumbling coaches – that all takes money," said cheerleading mom Stephanie Blevins.
Around 300 westporters came out to the event – which featured more than 30 auctions and raffles.
“We have Mets tickets, Yankees tickets, Kate Spade bags."
And many of those items are gifted by Westport businesses.
"That’s what it’s about. It's about giving, ya know,” said Kelly Conors.
And that giving played a big role in this year's event. Here at KC Salon & Company, the stars of the show got free hair and makeup.
“We always try and do things for the community,” continued Connors.
And when you have an event that takes a village, all agree they're happy Westport is that town.
"Westport is amazing they always, always - especially when there are children - step up," said Blevins.
