We hope that this notification will allow people to reschedule their plans to enjoy the celebration on Monday July 7," said the organizers behind the event in a statement, The Westport Police Athletic League (PAL) and Westport Parks and Recreation.
Tropic Storm Arthur is becoming the first storm of the Atlantic Hurricane Season, according the National Hurricane Center. The storm is currently over Florida, and the National Hurricane Center expects the storm to strengthen in the next 48 hours.
